Project Summary :  The Salman field development project started in 2000 with the aim of increasing oil production by 50,000 barrels per day and producing 540 million cubic feet of gas on a daily basis.

Salman Oil/Gas Field is located about 144 kilometers south of Lavan Island, near the sea border between Iran and the UAE in the Persian Gulf.

Project Goals:
    - Increasing oil production by 50,000 b/d 
    - Production of 540 mcf/d of natural gas 
Completed Works:
    - Completing drilling of 33 wells (32 horizontal wells - one vertical well)
    - Re-drilling and completion of 16 oil wells and one gas well
    - Drilling and completion of 8 new gas wells
    - Drilling an appraisal-production well
    - Comprehensive study of the field and preparation of the MDP
    - Engineering, purchase, construction and installation of 7 platforms (jacket and topside) including one residential platform, two wellhead platforms, one manifold platform, one production platform, a gas injection platform and a flaring platform weighing more than 22,000 tons
    - Engineering, purchase, construction and installation of 213 kilometers of 30-inch sea pipeline from Salman Field to Siri Island - Mubarak Platform
    - Engineering, purchase, construction and installation of 66 kilometers of offshore pipelines
    - Renovation of 13 satellite platforms
    - Construction of a gas pressure-boosting station in Siri Island
    - Launching the whole project
