TEHRAN, Jan 26 (PEDCO) – Petroiran Kish Development Company, a subsidiary of the PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO), has successfully passed a comprehensive external audit of its Integrated Management System, marking a milestone with the inclusion of its Kish operational base for the first time.
The recertification audit, conducted from December 15 to 17, 2024, evaluated the company’s compliance with international standards ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 29001:2020 (Quality Management in the Oil and Gas Sector).
It was carried out by the Conformity Assessment and Surveillance of Iran (CASI), the exclusive local partner of Austria-based certification body TUV Austria.
Ali Zarei, CEO of PetroIran Kish, noted that this was the company’s fourth successful ISO audit and the most rigorous to date.
“This year’s audit not only covered all headquarters departments but also, for the first time, included the Kish operational base, adding a new dimension to the scope and depth of the evaluation,” Zarei said.
Audit teams closely examined documented processes, compliance with integrated management system protocols, and corrective actions taken following previous assessments.
Employees across departments and field units were interviewed under a sampling-based method to ensure operational consistency and risk control.
Following the audit, the findings were presented in a session attended by senior management. The audit team commended the company’s QA/QC division for its preparedness and cooperation.
Zarei emphasized the need for improvement projects to address the few gaps identified and enhance overall system performance.
The successful audit reinforces PetroIran Kish’s commitment to quality, operational efficiency, and international compliance in Iran’s upstream energy sector.
