TEHRAN, Nov 27 (PEDCO) – PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO) has successfully renewed its international management system certifications following an external audit, marking a key step in the company’s efforts to enhance organizational performance and global compliance.
The audit confirmed continued compliance with several internationally recognized standards, including ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 29001:2020 (Oil and Gas Sector-Specific Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Additionally, the first surveillance audit for ISO 21502:2020 (Project Management) and ISO 31000:2018 (Risk Management) was also successfully completed.
In a closing session held with senior leadership, the audit team presented its findings to Dr. Ali Daghayeghi, PEDCO CEO, along with various department heads.
Dr. Daghayeghi thanked both the audit team and company staff for their efforts and emphasized the importance of implementing improvement initiatives to address the audit’s observations.
Hossein Haghgoo, PEDCO’s Management Systems Representative, noted that this latest round of audits — the fourth in a series — was conducted from November 23 to 25 by Iran’s Compliance Monitoring and Certification Institute, the exclusive local partner of TUV Austria.
The audit placed particular focus on the operational effectiveness of established processes and procedures, progress toward strategic goals, and the resolution of previously identified nonconformities.
It also assessed the effectiveness of the company’s project and risk management systems.
According to the company, personnel from both headquarters and the operational site at the “Binak” project were interviewed and audited through a sampling methodology.
The successful certification renewal underscores PEDCO’s commitment to maintaining international standards across its operations as it strengthens its role within Iran’s energy sector and beyond.
