TEHRAN, Jan 22 (PEDCO) – In a move signaling strategic consolidation at the executive level, the board of directors of NICO (Naftiran Intertrade Company), acting as the general assembly for PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO), has appointed Dr. Ali Daghayeghi as Vice Chairman of the Board while retaining his position as CEO.
The announcement, confirmed by Petro Iran’s public relations office, strengthens Daghayeghi’s leadership role as the company seeks to expand its operational footprint and pursue key development objectives across Iran’s oil and gas sector.
Daghayeghi, a seasoned energy executive, holds a PhD in Technology Management from the University of Tehran.
His track record includes leading roles in major oil and gas ventures, oversight of high-value drilling operations, and board membership at several national petroleum enterprises.
Industry observers see the dual-role appointment as a vote of confidence in Daghayeghi’s ability to guide Petro Iran through its next phase of growth, especially amid mounting technical ambitions and ongoing localization efforts in upstream services.
