TEHRAN, Dec 16 (PEDCO) – PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO) has called on citizens to join a national energy-saving initiative, urging them to reduce indoor temperatures by two degrees Celsius in a bid to conserve energy and protect the environment.
In a statement issued by the company, PEDCO emphasized the critical need for energy conservation amid the ongoing energy crisis in the country, particularly in light of natural gas shortages.
The company encouraged citizens to actively participate in the national campaign, named "Two Degrees Cooler," which has been spearheaded by Iran's President and the Minister of Petroleum.
"Given the current energy situation and the importance of preserving energy resources, especially natural gas, PEDCO feels it is its responsibility to contribute fully to this national initiative," the statement read.
PEDCO highlighted the dual benefits of reducing gas consumption: alleviating air pollution and improving the quality of life for citizens. The company appealed to all Iranians to embrace this simple yet effective step in supporting environmental sustainability and energy preservation.
The statement also called for a collective effort from citizens, the government, and other institutions to navigate the energy crisis, emphasizing that cooperation at all levels is crucial for overcoming this pressing challenge.
