GANAVEH/BEHBAHAN, Jan 22 (PEDCO) – PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO) has announced significant progress in its strategic energy projects at the Binak and Mansourabad fields in Iran’s southern oil-producing regions, signaling a new phase of development that underscores the company’s expanding operational footprint.
In a high-level site visit this week, PEDCO CEO Ali Daghayeghi, accompanied by senior executives including Ali Zarei, acting head of PetroIran Kish, toured the Binak project in Ganaveh and the Mansourabad site in Behbahan to review construction and execution activities.
Daghayeghi and his team were briefed on critical infrastructure developments including drilling site 028, enclosed and open-air storage facilities, a contractor housing camp, and the Binak Gas Compression Station—described as the project’s top priority by project manager Sasan Faramarzpour.
During the visit, Mehdi Sadeghian, head of the Mansourabad project, provided updates on logistical coordination and progress metrics. A representative from the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), which oversees the broader region’s production, highlighted the need for closer collaboration between contractor and client to address remaining technical challenges.
Following the site inspections, the delegation convened with project teams to assess current progress and operational hurdles. Daghayeghi emphasized the importance of accelerating workflows and maximizing workforce efficiency, praising recent efforts to improve personnel productivity.
Faramarzpour reiterated that completing the gas compression station is essential for moving the Binak project into its next phase and called on all teams to intensify their efforts to protect national resources and meet key project milestones.
The Binak and Mansourabad projects are part of Iran’s broader strategy to modernize and expand its upstream capabilities in a sector constrained by international sanctions but bolstered by domestic engineering and contracting capacity.
