TEHRAN, Dec 5 (PEDCO) – PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO) has launched a significant initiative to ensure the health and well-being of its employees by implementing an industrial medicine program. The program provides annual health checkups and screenings for over 900 staff members across the company.
The Head of Treatment and Insurance Services at PEDCO emphasized that the primary goal of the industrial medicine program is to identify workplace-related illnesses and other health conditions at an early stage.
Given the high-risk nature of certain operations, particularly in marine environments, these checkups are of utmost importance.
The program includes a broad range of tests and medical evaluations such as comprehensive blood tests, liver function tests, electrocardiograms (ECG), vision and hearing tests, and other specialized diagnostics. All these services are provided free of charge to the employees.
“The main objective of this program is to safeguard the health of our employees, who are the company’s most valuable asset,” said Iravani.
“By detecting diseases early, we can prevent their progression, reduce treatment costs, and, ultimately, improve employee productivity.
”
The program is conducted in collaboration with the Oil Industry Health and Medical Organization and other accredited medical centers across the country, ensuring employees receive the highest standard of medical care.
Iravani concluded by stating that PEDCO’s commitment to this health initiative demonstrates the company’s dedication to the welfare of its staff, which, in turn, boosts employee satisfaction, enhances productivity, and preserves valuable human resources.
