TEHRAN, Nov 26 (PEDCO) – Dr. Ali Daghayeghi, the newly appointed CEO of PetroIran Development Company (PEDCO), began his tenure with a visit to the company’s headquarters, where he met with staff and management in a gesture aimed at fostering unity and setting the tone for collaborative leadership.
The visit came one day after Daghayeghi’s formal introduction at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) headquarters, where the transition was officiated in the presence of NIOC CEO Hamid Bovard and outgoing PEDCO chief Alireza Sadeghi Abdollahi.
Addressing managers during his first official day, Daghayeghi thanked his predecessor for his service and emphasized the importance of collective effort and organizational cohesion.
“The road ahead demands teamwork, trust, and a shared commitment to PEDCO’s strategic goals,” he said.
Sadeghi Abdollahi, in his remarks, praised the company’s current capabilities and highlighted untapped opportunities for growth and innovation.
He expressed confidence in Daghayeghi’s leadership and the company’s ability to expand its role in the national energy sector.
During the meeting, department heads introduced themselves and briefed the new CEO on their unit’s functions, challenges, and achievements.
They also expressed readiness to support the company’s evolving agenda under Daghayeghi’s leadership. Daghayeghi later toured the company’s administrative offices alongside senior officials including the acting head of PetroIran Kish, the CEO’s senior adviser, and members of the
board.
During the walk-through, he engaged directly with staff and expressed appreciation for their dedication.
“Your day-to-day efforts are the backbone of this company’s success,” Daghayeghi told employees.
“Together, through unity and diligence, we can position PEDCO for a stronger future.”
The outreach reflects a leadership style that prioritizes internal alignment as PEDCO embarks on a period of structural reform and strategic expansion under the umbrella of NIOC.
