The Labor Relations and Social Work Unit of the PetroIran Development Group, with the support and emphasis of the company’s CEO and in cooperation with DCI, has implemented the plan to station a specialized psychotherapist on offshore rigs for the first time.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of PetroIran Development Group, Halimeh Choghaddaki, the Group’s Human Resources Director, stated that in the first phase of this initiative, a psychology specialist was present on the DCI1 offshore rig for 13 days. Through conducting professional psychological assessments, clinical interviews, individual counseling sessions, and training courses, significant actions were taken to provide psychological support for operational staff.
She added that the primary goal of this program is to prevent work-related psychological harm and reduce risks associated with operational activities.
Choghaddaki continued: Based on initial results, the presence of a psychologist at the worksite has led to reduced stress and psychological tension among employees, increased motivation and job satisfaction, strengthened organizational trust, improved individual and group interactions, and enhanced productivity and operational safety.
The acting Human Resources Director of PetroIran Development Group concluded that this initiative represents an innovative and pioneering step for the organization, aiming to create a healthier work environment and deliver continuous psychological support. She emphasized that further specialized phases of this program will continue in the company.
