Integrated Development Operation Enhancement of Common Fields in Foroozan & Esfandiar Areas

Location :
Foroozan and Esfandiar fields are located in the Persian gulf, on the marine border line with Saudi Arabia, about 100 km Southwest of Kharg Island.

Scope of work :

• 3D seismic survey of both fields

• Potential evaluation of both fields

• Drilling of 2 appraisal wells in Foroozan field, and completion of the appraisal wells as oil producers

• Drilling of 3 new production wells and re-entry drilling of 19 existing wells in Foroozan field.

• Drilling of 1 appraisal well in Esfandiar field, and completion of the appraisal well as oil producers and appraising field and evaluating possibilities for its development.

• Installation of 2 new oil processing, gas lifting and export facilities platforms, and water treatment facility.

• Installation of a new sub-sea gas export pipeline of about 100 Km and 258 MMSCFD capacity from offshore facilities to Kharg Island.

• Installation of infield oil and gas pipelines

• Renovation of Foroozan living quarters, suitable for accommodating up to 70 personnel.
  

• Increasing crude oil production by 65,000 bpd in Foroozan field.

• Installing gas export facilities to Kharg Island eliminates routine gas flaring (Foroozan field).

• Evaluating potential increase from the field and identifying new oil bearing layers at Foroozan field.

  • Conducting sea-bed surveys for installing new platforms, gas transfer pipeline and the Submarine infield flow-lines between the platforms

  • Performing conceptual design and basic engineering of facilities

  • Purchasing 24" line pipe

  • Purchasing of Turbo Generators and  Turbo Compressors

  • Facilities Basic design endorsement

Contract Price and Duration :

Execution of the project has started on 14 May 2002 and project duration is 96 months. The buyback project contract price (latest approved capex) is 800 MMUSD.
